Programas de Reabilitação de exercício físico em adultos com doença crónica
Rehabilitation nursing focuses on individuals with special needs throughout their life span. Exercise training is recognized as a therapeutic adjunct in achieving the objectives of rehabilitation nursing. Adopting an active lifestyle through structured exercise programs tailored to individuals with chronic illnesses has demonstrated beneficial effects, particularly in improving health and quality of life. However, the literature on such programs is fragmented, necessitating a comprehensive mapping of the available evidence. This review will adhere to the guidelines of the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) and apply inclusion criteria based on the Population-Concept-Context strategy. The search strategy aims to identify studies published in Portuguese and English over the past five years, focusing on populations aged 18 and older. Study selection will begin with a review of the titles and abstracts of publications. Full-text articles deemed eligible will be analyzed by a panel of five independent reviewers, who will extract data using a table aligned with the review's objectives and predefined research questions. This scoping review aims to encompass a diverse set of studies to identify existing rehabilitation programs developed by healthcare professionals, their application contexts, and key characteristics. The results will contribute to the development of more effective and evidence-based interventions, thereby enhancing the quality of care provided to individuals with chronic illnesses.
