Научный вклад профессора Тон Тхат Тунга в развитие советской медицины

The article examines the impact of the results of the scientific activity of Prof. Ton That Tung on the development of medicine in the USSR. As a result of analyzing previously unpublished documents of central Russian archives, materials of Vietnamese media, as well as works of Russian and foreign researchers, the author comes to the conclusion that due to the introduction of the method of surgical intervention developed by Ton That Tung, opportunities were created in the USSR to significantly improve the quality of medical care provided to patients with cancerous liver diseases.
