Revisión estratégica aplicable en las delimitaciones de las competencias profesionales en el ejercicio de la medicina

The objective is to analyze the level of training of professionals graduated in the area of medicine. A quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional approach was used with stratified sampling. A survey was conducted among 90 graduates using a structured questionnaire with closed and open questions to respond to the specific objectives of the research. Results: 40% of the participants were between 40 and 49 years old, and 40% were over 50 years old. 52% of them are men. 56.52% of those surveyed were from the National University of Asunción. Additionally, 88% of respondents highlighted clinical skills specific to their specialty as the most relevant competency they developed during residency. On the other hand, 61.5% believe that courses should be updated to better reflect current social reality, and 51.9% identified the lack of sufficient resources as the main obstacle to achieving learning objectives. Conclusion: These limitations should be considered when interpreting and applying the results, and future research is recommended to address these issues more comprehensively in different contexts.
