ANovelApproachtoImprovedOperationalCapability:Multi-DimensionalOscillationEnergyCollector

This study focuses on developing an oscillation energy collector with enhanced capabilities for wireless sensor networks in natural environments. While previous researchers primarily focused on one-dimensional harvester design, this project introduces an innovative cross double branch beam design that maximizes energy collection through simultaneous capture of two-dimensional vibrations released from nature. Based on this concept, this project developed a cross-branched beam harvester utilizing PZT and PVDF piezoelectric thin films. To evaluate the harvesters frequency efficiency, a vibration table that simulates natural oscillations is built. The experimental apparatus was designed to validate the hypothesis that the two-dimensional design significantly improves traditional harvesters frequency generation abilities. The harvester, on the vibration plat- form, underwent computer-controlled frequency modulation within a specified range. Frequency and power measurements were recorded and analyzed through MATLAB. Results indicate that the novel design demonstrates a broader range of energy generation frequencies compared to traditional, significantly improving generation performance.
