Abstract

The article explores innovative approaches to the use of verbal and visual associations in foreign language learning among students of non-linguistic specialities. It has been established that the audiovisual method is one of the leading pedagogical technologies that activates both auditory and visual perception channels. The importance of thematically adapting video clips to students' professional training is emphasized to achieve integration of linguistic and subjectspecific components. It is highlighted that watching videos containing specialized vocabulary contributes to the formation of strong language-associative connections. The significance of cognitive activity, which is enhanced by combining verbal content with imagery, is acknowledged. The relevance of using mnemonic strategies, particularly mind maps and associative tables, for linking new information to prior knowledge has been identified. It is noted that visualizations in the form of graphic schemes positively influence students' analytical abilities. The methodological potential of graphic organizers as a means of structured presentation of learning material is revealed. It is clarified that the use of such organizers as comparison tables and concept trees ensures logical structuring of professional terminology. It is confirmed that the active use of visual technologies improves students' foreign language proficiency. The effectiveness of digital platforms that enable a multimodal learning approach has been established. It has been found that the Quizlet application enhances the acquisition of technical vocabulary through visual associations and gamification. The necessity of integrating authentic video content reflecting real communicative situations is emphasized. It is underlined that non-verbal elements of speech (gestures, facial expressions) are essential for comprehensive language comprehension. The importance of subtitles and thematic relevance of video materials for developing speech intuition is recognized. Finally, it has been found that modern digital tools ensure flexibility, accessibility, and motivational appeal in foreign language learning.
