ENSURING ECONOMIC SECURITY OF COMMERCIAL BANKS USING ZERO TRUST ARCHITECTURE (ZERO TRUST)

The article explores the relationship between economic security and the Zero Trust Architecture in the context of cyber threats and the large-scale digitalization of banking operations. The need to transition from traditional perimeter-based security models to Zero Trust Architecture is substantiated. The key principles of Zero Trust, such as least privilege access, continuous verification of entities and resources, and ongoing monitoring within the bank’s information system and across its external perimeter, are outlined. The study examines the pathways for implementing Zero Trust Architecture in corporate environments and assesses the impact of this transition on the level of informational – and consequently economic – security of commercial banks. Legal and regulatory aspects governing information security in banking operations are also discussed. The author concludes that Zero Trust Architecture represents a strategically significant foundation for protecting the economic interests, sensitive commercial information, and client data of commercial banks.
