THE USE OF UNMANNED AERIAL VEHICLES IN AGRICULTURE: MODERN APPROACHES, TECHNOLOGICAL CAPABILITIES AND EFFICIENCY

The article examines modern approaches to the use of unmanned aerial vehicles in agriculture in order to assess their technological and organizational capabilities, as well as their impact on the efficiency of agricultural production. The main attention is paid to the analysis of the functional characteristics of unmanned aerial vehicles, their role in monitoring plants, introducing protective equipment, land inventory and the formation of digital maps. The methodological basis of the study was the analysis of literary sources, government statistics and empirical materials on the regional use of drones. As a result of the study, it was found that the use of unmanned aerial vehicles helps to reduce resource costs, increase the accuracy of agrotechnological operations and the sustainability of agriculture in the face of climatic and logistical constraints. The focus is on the regional aspects of technology implementation. The work has practical significance, as it forms a scientifically sound idea of the prospects for digital transformation of the agricultural sector using unmanned aerial vehicles and is recommended when justifying management decisions in the field of agricultural technologies.
