GAMIFICATION IN HIGHER EDUCATION AND ITS IMPACT ON STUDENT MOTIVATION
The article is devoted to the study of gamification as an innovative approach in the organization of the educational process in the higher education system, focusing on increasing the educational motivation of students. The aim of the work is to identify the theoretical foundations of gamification and assess its impact on student engagement, academic achievement, and perception of the educational environment. The authors analyze existing approaches to the implementation of game mechanics in teaching, including digital platforms, interactive tasks, elements of competition and reward systems that form additional internal and external motivation. From a methodological point of view, the research is based on a theoretical analysis of modern scientific literature, as well as a generalization of the results of testing gamified solutions in universities. The results show that the systematic use of gamification elements contributes to the activation of cognitive activity, increasing the level of responsibility for learning outcomes, developing self-organization skills and increasing academic performance. The authors note the role of forming a positive learning attitude among students through game scenarios. It is noted that the greatest effect is observed when gamification is combined with project methods and digital educational platforms. The work highlights the need to train teachers to apply gaming practices, as well as the importance of adapting techniques to the specifics of disciplines. The peculiarity of the research is an attempt to systematize the existing experience and build a well-founded model of the influence of gamification on the motivational and cognitive aspects of learning.
