Improvement of Ammunition Stockpile Test Procedures for Effectively Implementing the Ammunition Stockpile Reliability Program
Purpose: This paper examines the limitations of the ammunition stockpile test procedures (ASTPs) used to evaluate the ammunition stockpile reliability program (ASRP) for guided systems.
Methods: The qualitative method is used to explore the limitations of the ASTPs. All ASTPs are analyzed and summarized in the table provided below.
Results: The limitations manifesting under the current situation are identified, and an approach to overcome these drawbacks is established by redesigning the test procedure and type of observation. Additionally, the necessary regulation for researching the failure mode and the failure mechanism is identified for designing the test procedures.
Conclusion: The limitations of current reliability testing methods and effective strategies to counteract these hindrances are presented, and future research trajectories are suggested.
