Atendimento de alunos com altas habilidades/superdotação em salas de recursos multifuncionais: curso EaD para professores

The growing demand for Specialized Educational Assistance (SEA) for students with high abilities/giftedness (HA/GD) requires specific training. The objective of this study is to analyze the provision of a free course in the distance learning modality as a strategy for continuing education of SEA teachers with a focus on HA/GD. This is a translational research that employed educational design and qualitative analysis. The participants were 15 SEA teachers. The developed course was evaluated by 5 categories, on a 5-point Likert scale. The following were obtained: 4.94 for structure, aesthetics and organization, 4.92 for content presented, 4.84 for methodology used and applicability and 4.69 for knowledge acquired. The overall quality of the course was 4.86. The evaluation of the course showed a significant increase between prior (2.45) and post-course (4.69) knowledge on the subject. It is concluded that the free distance learning course proved to be an effective strategy for reflection and learning about pedagogical practice in AEE.
