Programas de enfermagem de reabilitação promotores da capacitação do cuidador: protocolo de scoping review
Becoming a caregiver unexpectedly can be a profound and transformative challenge, often requiring rapid adaptation to a new reality. This role, frequently triggered by critical events or sudden changes in a family member's health, has emotional, practical, and psychological implications for the caregiver. Rehabilitation nurses play a crucial role in supporting caregivers by acting as facilitators, educators, and emotional support systems. They help caregivers acquire skills, understand their family member’s condition, and adapt to their new responsibilities. This scoping review, conducted using the Joanna Briggs Institute methodology, aims to map existing rehabilitation nursing programs that promote caregiver empowerment, the contexts in which they are applied, and the tools used to evaluate caregiver empowerment. Employing the PCC model (Population-Concept-Context) and defined search equations, 3,081 articles were identified through searches in scientific databases (via PubMed). Data will be extracted using a tool developed by the research team, designed to meet the objectives and address the review questions. The data will then be synthesized into a table and narrative summary. This review will contribute to the literature on the subject by identifying priority areas for future research and expanding understanding of the role of rehabilitation nursing in caregiver empowerment.
