Perceção de autoeficácia dos membros da família prestadores de cuidados acompanhados por equipas de cuidados continuados integrados
Health teams, particularly in primary health care, develop interventions aimed at improving the caregiver family member's skills in taking care of the dependent person. The general objective of this study was to assess the perception of self-efficacy of family members who are caregivers of families with dependent people in self-care, accompanied by Integrated Continuing Care Teams of a Local Health Unit in the Minho region of Portugal. This is a quantitative, descriptive and exploratory study, with a longitudinal profile, with two evaluation moments - admission and clinical discharge. The convenience sample will consist of caregivers and their dependent family members, between December 2024 and March 2025. For data collection, a form called “Families who integrate dependents in self-care” will be used. It is hoped that the results obtained will show gains in terms of family caregivers' perception of self-efficacy and the impact this could have on the dependent person's health condition, particularly in terms of their ability to perform activities inherent to the different domains of self-care. It also has a social impact, in that it contributes to economic gains by reducing the costs associated with the use of health services by families with dependent people. In addition, it can promote motivation and the orientation of practices among health professionals, particularly nurses specializing in rehabilitation nursing.
