THE INFLUENCE OF MILITARY RISKS ON ACTUARIAL POLICY WITHIN CONVENTIONAL LINES OF INSURANCE IN UKRAINE
This article investigates the unprecedented impact of the full-scale military aggression on the actuarial policy of Ukrainian insurers operating in classic insurance classes (life, property, liability). It analyzes the main challenges associated with the assessment, modeling, and management of military risks, which are systemic and catastrophic in nature. The necessary modifications to key actuarial parameters, models, and approaches to pricing and reserving under conditions of extreme uncertainty are considered. The directions for adapting the actuarial function to the new realities of martial law and post-war recovery are substantiated, including the need for innovative risk assessment methods and enhanced cooperation with the state and international partners.
