NATIONAL ACCOUNTING STANDARDS OF UKRAINE AND INTERNATIONAL FINANCIAL REPORTING STANDARDS: CHARACTERISTICS, MAIN DIFFERENCES

Introduction. The adoption of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is a critical step for companies seeking global financial transparency and comparability. This study categorizes Ukrainian national accounting standards and explores the transition from national accounting regulations to IFRS. Two primary approaches to IFRS implementation are identified: full transformation of financial statements and parallel conversion within managerial accounting. The analysis highlights the advantages of IFRS adoption, including enhanced credibility, access to international financial markets, and improved managerial decision-making. Companies may choose the most suitable IFRS implementation method based on their reporting needs and strategic objectives. The findings contribute to the understanding of IFRS adoption processes and their implications for corporate financial management in Ukraine and beyond.
