MODERN APPROACH TO THIRD MOLARS EXTRACTION
Complex third molars extraction was performed in 26 patients between the ages of 18 and 35. The patients were divided into four groups: group I consisted of 10 men, group II - 10 women who were additionally treated with spline therapy; groups III and IV consisted of 3 men and 3 women without spline therapy. In 30% of patients, chronic traumatic arthritis of the temporomandibular joint was diagnosed as a result of a violation of the occlusal relationship of the teeth of the upper and lower jaws; in 70% of patients, orthodontic pathology was diagnosed: crowding of the teeth in the anterior region of the upper and lower jaws. The patients were observed for a year.
