PATHOGENETIC FEATURES OF DEVELOPMENT OF CLINICAL AND FUNCTIONAL CHANGES IN THE SALIVARY GLANDS DUE TO DISEASES OF THE THYROID GLAND

The etiology and pathogenesis of inflammatory and dystrophic diseases of the salivary glands are still poorly understood. Their diagnosis and treatment is one of the most acute problems of dental surgery. WHO expert team recognized the actuality of research on the impact of emotional stress on the body. Emotional stress is accompanied by impaired functioning of the neuroendocrine and somatovegetative systems, increased blood levels of catecholamines, glucocorticoids and a number of other hormones. According to the theory of emotional stress, the latter leads to the formation of a new brain state, which is characterized by a disorder in the interaction of the cortex and subcortical formations and changes in the chemical properties of the neurons that make up the brain, disorders of their bioenergetics, destabilization of membrane permeation, and impairment of their functions.
