COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF FUNCTIONAL STYLES IN BUSINESS CORRESPONDENCE IN UKRAINIAN, ENGLISH AND POLISH
The article investigates functional styles in business correspondence based on Ukrainian, English and Polish. The purpose of the study is to make a comparative analysis of the linguistic means and stylistic features characteristic of business communication in these languages, as well as to identify common and different ways of realizing business discourse. The relevance of the study is due to the growing role of intercultural communication in the context of globalization, which requires a high level of proficiency in business etiquette and language politeness in different languages and cultures. In today's context of globalization, expanding international cooperation and active intercultural exchange, business correspondence is gaining special importance as a tool for professional communication.Successful interaction between representatives of different countries often depends not only on the content of the message, but also on compliance with language etiquette, stylistic norms and cultural expectations.Ukraine's integration into the European space requires a deeper understanding of the communication norms of its Western partners. The analysis considers four key parameters of business style: the tone of the message, the compositional and linguistic structure of the letter, typical syntactic structures and forms of closure. It is concluded that all three languages demonstrate the general features of business style -clarity, conciseness, logical sequence and formality of presentation. However, each of them has its own peculiarities. In particular, English is characterized by a high degree of standardization and frequent use of established clichs, Polish by preserving the formal etiquette model of communication, and Ukrainian by flexibility, a combination of formality and soft personalization of appeals.Particular attention is paid to the influence of cultural factors on language strategies, which is manifested in the choice of the form of address, grammatical person, degree of directness or indirectness of speech. The paper emphasizes the need to take into account language norms and the socio-cultural context when writing business letters in a multicultural environment.
