INDEXING THE SUSTAINABILITY FACTORS OF RUSSIAN METALLURGY AND ANALYZING THE CONTRIBUTION OF FACTORS TO RESILIENCE

The purpose of the study is to systematize and quantify the resilience factors of enterprises in the Russian metallurgical industry using the matrix aggregate calculator (MAС) methodology. The paper analyzes 12 key factors that form the basis for calculating the integral resilience index (RI). The methodological framework includes weighted aggregation of indicators at the level of individual enterprises, taking into account the asset structure, where the weighting factors are determined based on the Fishburne method, which allows them to rank their significance. To assess the contribution of individual factors to the integral indicator RI, an analysis of relative changes was used: the dynamics of each factor was compared with the overall change in RI. Although the initial weights of the factors were set according to the Fishburn scheme, it was found that with a large number of indicators, this technique does not provide sufficient accuracy in estimating contributions, which is demonstrated by the calculated example. The results of the study showed the need to use intelligent filtering of emissions in the calculation of sustainability indices; to ensure statistical uniformity of data, at least in the first approximation. In particular, it was found that sectoral anisotropy in terms of capital leads to distortions in the assessment of aggregated labor productivity indices, which requires the calculation of private indices by type of activity and category of capital — similar to the practice of stock markets in developed countries. In addition, according to the theory of “scarlet” and “blue” oceans (Kim–Mauborn), indexing should be carried out within homogeneous market segments to minimize distortions, especially when assessing the contributions of factors to RI. This makes it possible to increase the accuracy of enterprise sustainability analysis in conditions of industry heterogeneity.
