Total Synthesis of Heterolactone

Verticillane diterpenoids, heterolactone was isolated from the soft coral Heteroxenia Ghardaqensis. The structures, including the absolute configurations, were determined by extensive spectroscopic analysis, singlecrystal X-ray diffraction analysis, calculated ECD spectra, and DP4+ probability analyses. This paper will present the occurrences and functions of the compound in daily life, investigate its retrosynthesis and total synthesis, and illustrate them in graphical form.

Abstract

Verticillane diterpenoids, heterolactone was isolated from the soft coral Heteroxenia Ghardaqensis. The structures, including the absolute configurations, were determined by extensive spectroscopic analysis, singlecrystal X-ray diffraction analysis, calculated ECD spectra, and DP4+ probability analyses. This paper will present the occurrences and functions of the compound in daily life, investigate its retrosynthesis and total synthesis, and illustrate them in graphical form.
