The Influence of Neuroaesthetic Music on Human Mood

The purpose of this thesis is to explore the role of neuroaesthetics and music in human emotion and its application value. This paper explains the definition of neuroaesthetics and the influence of music on emotions, determines the purpose and significance of the research, briefly describes the core content and scope of the research, and explains the research ideas, methods and data sources. This paper focuses on the relationship between neuroaesthetics and emotion, deeply discusses the neural mechanism of emotion formation, analyzes the mechanism of music's influence on emotion through neural pathways, and further discusses the utility of music in emotion recognition. In addition, the application of music therapy in psychotherapy, as well as its role in emotion regulation and psychological rehabilitation, is explored, and a personalized psychotherapy program based on individual music preferences is proposed. Among the many emotional associations, this study chose to investigate the effects of music on people suffering from emotional disorders such as depression. The aim of this study was to investigate the neural responses to positive and negative music and non-musical sounds in depressed patients and healthy controls. Using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), this study sought to reveal differences in brain activity between these groups during the perception of emotional auditory stimuli, thereby contributing to the understanding of the therapeutic potential of music and its impact on emotion regulation.
