PERAN GURU AQIDAH AKHLAK DALAM MENANGGULANGI DAMPAK NEGATIF SOSIAL MEDIA DI SEKOLAH MADRASAH ALIYAH MA’ARIF NU KENCONG

Social media has become an inseparable part of daily life, especially for the younger generation. While it offers significant benefits, like easy access to all kinds of information and communication. Social media also has negative impacts. Like the spread of inappropriate content, consumerist behavior, and even moral crises. In this context, a teacher of moral beliefs has a strategic role in overcoming these negative impacts. This study aims to analyze the role of a moral aqidah akhlak teacher in shaping the character of students who are able to filter the bad influence of social media. The method used was literature study and interviews with teachers at Madrasah Aliyah Ma’arif NU Kencong school. The result of this study show that moral aqidah akhlak teachers play a role as spritual guides, moral role models, and facilitators of learning critical reasoning on social media content. Throught the approach of Islamic values. Such as manners in communication, honesty, and social media ethics. Teachers are able to instill awareness in students about the importance of using social media positively and responsibly. Thus, the role of a moral aqidah akhlak teacher is one of the solutions in facing moral challenges in the digital era
