Influence of Eco-Friendly Reinforcement Additives on Tensile & Hardness Behaviour of Al7050 FSW Welded Joints

This study examines the tensile behaviour of Al7050 and its Friction Stir Welded (FSW) joints with different volume fractions (0%, 2%, 4%, 6% and 8%) of Multani Mitti and Cow Dung Ash (CDA) as eco-friendly reinforcement supplementary to a Synthetic Ceramic Materials. Specimens were prepared by Stir Casting Technique and FSW as per the ASTM Standards. It was found that proper welded joints always had greater strength rate than the base alloy in all compositions. In addition, it was observed that Multani Mitti and CDA added to the composite materials are fabricated and tested for mechanical property like, tensile strength, Hardness, and study of microstructure of the material. The results of hybrid composites were better compared to the properties of constituents alone. Nevertheless, the combination of Aluminium (7050) composite study shows the capability of natural additives to enhance their strength behaviour of aluminium alloys, especially for welded structures.
