DIGITIZATION OF PUBLIC SERVICES AS A COST REDUCTION FACTOR
The digital transformation of public services has a significant impact on the economics of public administration by creating conditions for the systematic reduction of administrative and transactional costs. The article discusses the conceptual foundations of public service digitization, the cost structure in traditional interaction models, and mechanisms for reducing these costs when switching to digital formats. Elements of digital infrastructure are analyzed, providing process automation, interoperability of information systems, and remote access to services. Empirical assessments of the economic effects of digitization are presented, including time savings, budget optimization, and increased productivity in government bodies. Particular attention is paid to Russian practice and international comparisons.
