FATORES SOCIODEMOGRÁFICOS NO AGRAVO DA HIPERTENSÃO ARTERIAL SISTÊMICA DE PACIENTES ASSISTIDOS PELA ESTRATÉGIA SAÚDE DA FAMÍLIA
Objective: To identify the sociodemographic factors that contribute to the worsening and improvement of systemic arterial hypertension in patients assisted by the Family Health Strategy (FHS). Method: This is a cross-sectional, observational study with a quantitative approach and descriptive analysis, carried out in a Family Health Unit located in Maceió, Alagoas. Data collection was conducted from January to April 2025 using a structured form based on the health determinants and conditions recommended by Law No. 8,080/90, containing 17 questions, applied to 182 individuals. Results: The participants were mostly brown, female, with a family income of up to one minimum wage, over 40 years of age and low level of education. The following were identified as significant risk factors: smoking (p<0.011), alcoholism (p<0.001), unhealthy diet (p<0.001), physical inactivity (p<0.001) and medication adherence (p<0.001). Conclusion: It was concluded that these factors were strongly present among the interviewees, with sociodemographic condition being the main factor for the increase in blood pressure in individuals with low education, followed by age group, income and lifestyle. The sociodemographic profile of the assisted population indicates a scenario of social vulnerability that requires the expansion of targeted actions by the ESF.
