Role of Microfinance in Promoting Eco-Friendly Rural Entrepreneurship in Jharkhand

Abstract Microfinance has emerged as a powerful driver of sustainable development in rural areas. In Jharkhand, where large sections of the population live in tribal and remote regions, access to microfinance—especially through Self Help Groups (SHGs)—has enabled the growth of environmentally conscious entrepreneurship. This article discusses how microfinance is contributing to eco-friendly business models in rural Jharkhand, supporting livelihoods while promoting ecological sustainability.
