The European Medicines Agency evaluation of nemolizumab (Nemluvio) for the treatment of moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis and prurigo nodularis

Atopic dermatitis (AD) and prurigo nodularis (PN) are chronic inflammatory skin diseases that are characterized by intense pruritus. Nemolizumab is the first interleukin-31 blocking agent approved in the EU for the treatment of moderate-to-severe AD and PN. This article summarizes the key benefits and risks associated with nemolizumab and provides perspectives on the additional value of nemolizumab in the treatment armamentarium.
