Optimized Video Steganography for Enhanced Parallel Processing on Multi-Core Processors
Steganography is the process of concealing confidential information by hiding it behind non-confidential information. Digital media used as cover in such a context is the source of data, which is not restricted in any way. While multiple studies have previously been conducted on steganographic technologies and their associated processes, cover files have not received enough attention. Thus, the aim of this research is to develop a comprehensive video steganographic method. Video steganography differs from other forms of steganography in that it enables both the sender and the receiver to exchange concealed information by matching the values of the RGB channels in the video frame with the secret text. This process is accomplished using pixel-based matching, which can be managed with video files of various sizes. The secret information is stored conventionally beneath the video file itself. With the aim of improving performance, the suggested approach is superior to the multithreading technique (also known as the parallelized method). Relative to the conventional steganographic approach, the results demonstrate that this new steganographic method offers a higher level of security. Additionally, the findings indicate that parallelism has enhanced the performance of our proposed method.
