Shared Video Monitoring Service for Power Grid Surveillance by Leveraging Layer-by-Layer Aggregation Network

Compatible video monitoring system for power grid is an import part for centralized inspection and unified monitoring system. Although some region-level unified video surveillance systems for power grid have been set up, there is still a lack of description and research on these systems’ architecture. In our paper, we identify two types of video nodes which can flexibly form a diverse, hierarchical video surveillance network, these two types of node are the front node and aggregation node, we deploy shared video monitoring service at the aggregation nodes for various demand calls. We also focus on the load balancing strategies for real-time playing at the aggregation node, according to the internal structure of the aggregation node, we separately design the SIP load balancing algorithm and the streaming media load balancing algorithm to reduce the calculation cost. Next intend to enhance the compatibility of audio functions, we raise several principles to reduce errors during the establishment of the transport layer. Based on application scenarios and experimental results, we demonstrate that our aggregation video network can satisfy the diverse requirements of centralized monitoring, methods to improve the compatibility of audio function are also effective.
