Rehabilitation approaches for Parkinson's disease
Annotation. An urgent task of modern medicine is the development of effective rehabilitation programs aimed at slowing the progression of Parkinson's disease and improving the quality of life of patients. The purpose of the study is a systematic review of modern rehabilitation approaches to the treatment of Parkinson's disease, among which physiotherapy, which includes maintenance of muscle tone, balance and coordination, takes a key place. Occupational therapy is aimed at restoring self-care and productive skills. Music therapy and dancing contribute to the improvement of coordination, balance and emotional state of patients, stimulating neuroplasticity of the brain and body. Virtual reality is used for interactive training of motor functions and cognitive abilities in a safe environment. Special attention is paid to the rehabilitation of hypomimia and speech through special exercises aimed at restoring facial activity and improving communication skills. Deep brain stimulation shows significant potential for reducing motor impairments, and focal muscle vibration improves proprioceptive sensitivity. The use of mirror neuron principles in rehabilitation allows to stimulate the recovery of motor and cognitive functions through observation and imitation. In general, modern rehabilitation methods are effective in improving the quality of life in Parkinson's disease, but need further improvement. A promising direction is the development of complex programs that integrate innovative technologies with traditional approaches to achieve maximum rehabilitation efficiency.
