THE INTERRELATION OF LINGUISTIC AND CULTURAL PROCESSES, OR CULTURAL ORIENTATION IN TEACHING RFL

The article analyzes the problems of intercultural interactions, offers an innovative method of preparing foreigners for a full-fledged intercultural dialogue, adequate interpersonal communication in a non-native Russian language. It is emphasized that the texts of oral folk art (epics and fairy tales), which represent a treasury of national wisdom, are the embodiment of the «spirit of the people», are able to «immerse» an individual in a certain fragment of the «picture of the Russian world». However, without special linguistic and cultural adaptation under the guidance of a Russian teacher, they cannot be adequately perceived, much less interpreted by a foreign speaker.
