METHODOLOGICAL MEANS OF RAISING READING MOTIVATION AMONG SCHOOLCHILDREN IN THE CONTEXT OF DIGITALIZATION OF EDUCATION

This article addresses the problem of an effective methodological approach to raising reading interest among schoolchildren at the levels of primary, basic general, and secondary education, influenced by information technologies and changes in information consumption formats. The author considers reading as a key condition for the development of the cognitive sphere of schoolchildren ’s personalities, the formation of critical thinking, and the expansion of their horizons. The author describes an innovative media design technology and tools for developing reading literacy aimed at enhancing motivation to read. As an essential characteristic of this technology, program and methodological materials, diagnostic tools, and the algorithm for creating book trailers as the main methodological technique are presented. The pragmatic aspects of this technology are described, manifested in increasing children’s motivation towards fiction.
