Formation of Elements of Engineering Students’ Systems Thinking: Results of an Experimental Study
The issue of developing systems thinking is relevant today, since a person is in an information overloaded space, faced with a huge amount of data that needs to be organised. In psychological and pedagogical research, the problem of superficiality and fragmentation of students’ perception of information is regularly raised, as a result of which the integrity of the understanding of the material is violated. For a technical specialist, it is extremely important to carry out a multidimensional analysis of technical objects, and systems thinking belongs to the category of his universal competencies. The article is devoted to the study of the process of formation of structural elements of systems thinking of future engineers, associated with the majority of errors made by students in the process of solving problems in special disciplines.
