A Study on Preservice Teachers’ Reflective Practice through Dialogic Pedagogic Approaches
Dialogic pedagogy has been recognized as an effective alternative method of teaching and learning in teacher education. It emphasizes meaningful interactions and active engagement between teachers and learners, fostering deeper understanding and knowledge construction. In line with this educational trend, the present study aims to examine the reflective practices of EFL preservice teachers through the lens of dialogic pedagogy.Specifically, it explores how this approach enhances their teaching skills, facilitates deeper reflection on teaching methodologies, and fosters effective communication in teacher education. This study employs a qualitative research design, incorporating indepth interviews, classroom observations, and field notes to investigate how dialogic pedagogy influences preservice teachers' pedagogical awareness and overall professional development.Through reflective dialogues and interactive discussions, preservice teachers can refine their instructional strategies, improve decision-making skills, and develop a more nuanced understanding of effective teaching practices.Furthermore, this research examines the transformative impact of dialogic pedagogy on preservice teachers' growth, focusing on how it shapes their teaching competencies, reflective abilities, and adaptability in diverse classroom settings.By fostering an open and participatory learning environment, dialogic pedagogy encourages preservice teachers to critically evaluate their teaching approaches and develop innovative strategies for effective instruction. This study contributes to the broader discourse on teacher education by shedding light on the critical role of dialogic pedagogy in preparing educators with the skills, knowledge, and dispositions necessary to navigate the complexities of modern teaching and learning environments.
