A Study on the Effectiveness of Career Planning for Junior High School Students from the Perspective of Trait-Factor Theory

Junior high school represents a crucial stage where individual consciousness matures and career awareness begins to emerge. Effective career planning can assist them in better understanding themselves, actively connecting with future developmental directions and establishing reasonable positioning. As a classic vocational guidance theory, the Trait-Factor Theory provides important theoretical foundations and methodological guidance for career planning among junior high school students. This paper analyzes the potential phased goals in the future career planning of junior high school students from the perspective of the Trait-Factor Theory, taking into account their psychological, learning, and behavioral characteristics. Based on the characteristics of junior high school students, this paper provides corresponding career education practice paths and career guidance strategy references for middle school administrators. It addresses the issue of differentiated external stage goals caused by individual differences, improves the effectiveness of career education for junior high school students, and enriches the specificity of life planning education.
