On glass ceiling shards: women in public administration
The article is devoted to the analysis of changes related to the "women's question", which has historically manifested itself in various forms of socio-political activity, starting with women's struggle for the right to vote and reaching claims to occupy the highest government positions. It is shown that, despite the undoubted achievements in overcoming the gender gap, there are still many problems in women's management activities caused by various reasons. These primarily include attempts by female government leaders to copy the tough male leadership style. It is also noteworthy that knowledge and competencies become victims of the pursuit of a career. The ways to overcome these shortcomings in Russia are shown.
