Novel Architecture for Distributed Travel Data Integration and Service Provision Using Microservices
This paper presents a new microservices-based architecture aimed at improving flexibility, scalability, and performance in airline reservation systems. The main goal of this study is to overcome the challenges of real-time data integration and service responsiveness in busy travel settings. The proposed system uses Redis caching, two messaging platforms (Kafka and RabbitMQ), and different databases (MongoDB and PostgreSQL) to optimize data handling. It ensures secure communication with OAuth2 and JSON Web Token protocols. The architecture was assessed using key performance indicators, achieving 99.5% data consistency, data propagation latency under 75 ms, and a system throughput of 1,050 events per second. Redis caching provided a 92% cache hit ratio, which significantly lowered database load and improved response speed. Containerization with Docker and orchestration through Kubernetes enabled horizontal scalability while keeping a low error rate of 0.2%. These results show that the architecture can support secure, scalable, and efficient real-time operations, making it suitable for modern airline reservation systems and other high-demand travel services.
