This commentary explores the potential of ChatGPT to support and enhance writing skills in higher education settings. While certainly fraught with paedagogial perils, ChatGPT can nevertheless assist in writing processes, improve grammatical and stylistic proficiency, and contribute to academic research skills among university students.
