Cloud Computing: Architectures, Security Paradigms, and Future Directions
Cloud computing has become a revolutionary force in information technology, providing scalable, on- demand, and cost-effective access to computational resources. This paper consolidates a decade of research (2013–2023) to examine cloud architectures, security issues, deployment models, and burgeoning trends. By conducting a systematic review of 150+ peer-reviewed publications, industry reports, and case studies, we assess the evolution of cloud ecosystems, determine the gaps in security frameworks, and suggest solutions to hybrid and edge-cloud integration. Methodologically, we use bibliometric analysis, thematic coding, and comparative case studies to glean actionable insights. The research provides a comprehensive framework for secure adoption of clouds with a focus on standardization, AI-based threat detection, and regulatory compliance. This book is a universal guide for academia and industry, connecting theoretical knowledge with practical uses.
