Smart dustbin : Waste Segregation (Dry And Wet)

The proper management of waste is crucial for maintaining a clean environment. The purpose of this project is to develop an Arduino-based Smart Dustbin that can separate dry and wet waste automatically.By using IR sensors, the system can identify the type of waste and categorize it into sections. The waste is manually moved by the Arduino, who also has control over the entire system. Its simplicity and accuracy in sorting are both enhanced by this feature. It is a smart dustbin that can be used in homes, schools and around the public at low cost with ease.People can dispose of waste in an environmentally-friendly manner without any negative impact on the environment. The project highlights the use of basic technology to improve waste management and environmental protection. The categories include Infrared, Moisture, Ultrasonic, Servo, Segregation, Automation, and IoT.Monitoring, Recycling. I.This smart dustbin project helps separate dry and wet waste automatically using sensors like IR and raindrop sensors with Arduino. It makes throwing garbage easier, cleaner, and smarter because the bin opens automatically and sorts the waste without needing any manual effort. This system helps reduce bad smells, stops the spread of germs, and keeps places like homes, schools, and hospitals neat and hygienic. It also supports recycling and composting by keeping dry and wet waste separate from the start, which is better for the environment.Even though it may cost some money and needs regular maintenance, the advantages like saving time, improving cleanliness, and promoting good habits are very useful.Overall, this project teaches us how technology can help solve everyday problems and encourage.
