Measurement of the refractive index of air in a demonstration experiment
The article substantiates the need to measure the refractive index of air in a school physics course and shows the availability of a demonstration installation for self-production by students. The installation consists of a vacuum prism, a semiconductor laser, two identical flat mirrors, a homemade pump made from a medical syringe and a scale with millimeter divisions.
