An Improved FBMC-OQAM Timing Synchronization Method Based on Training Sequence
In the process of digital signal processing of the filter bank multi-carrier with offset quadrature amplitude modulation (FBMC-OQAM) signal processing system, the deviation of timing synchronization will seriously affect the performance of signal processing system. Existing timing synchronization methods have the issue that the peak of timing metric function is not prominent enough. To address this problem and improve synchronization performance, this paper proposes an improved timing synchronization method. In the proposed method, a training sequence with conjugate symmetry property is created for timing synchronization at the transmitter by designing pilot symbol based on ZC sequence in the time domain and converting them to the frequency domain. Moreover, the interference from other symbols is reduced by inserting a small number of zero-value symbols between the training sequence and data. Simulation results show that the proposed method achieves an excellent timing synchronization performance in both AWGN and multipath channels.
