Research on MAC Performance Optimization and Methods for LoRa Networks under Multi-service Scenarios
LoRaWAN is a Medium Access Control (MAC) layer protocol based on the traditional ALOHA algorithm, popular for its ease of implementation. However, it lacks flexibility in complex business scenarios within LoRa networks. This paper proposes a Priority-Based Self-Adaptive MAC (PSA-MAC) algorithm to address this issue. This algorithm allocates data packets from different services into different priority queues, with higher priority levels having a greater access probability. It dynamically adjusts the Contention Window (CW) size based on channel status and packet priority to control node access. Experimental results show that PSA-MAC nodes achieve higher throughput and fairness in complex business environments.
