Optimization of Layout Configuration of Ultra-high Voltage Transmission Lines Based on Mixed Integer Programming
China's energy production and consumption are distributed in the opposite direction, generally with a “west-to-east, north-to-south and multiple-energy complement” power distribution pattern. By 2035 and 2050, China's interregional and interprovincial power flows are expected to increase from 250MW in 2020 to 550MW and 740MW, respectively. Therefore, as a backbone channel for transmitting clean energy, the construction of UHV DC transmission channels based on clean energy will be coordinated and promoted. Through the establishment of an optimization model for the layout and configuration of UHV DC transmission lines based on mixed integer planning, the UHV DC transmission lines will be optimally configured by comprehensively considering constraints such as transmission capacity, transmission distance, transmission direction, installed renewable energy potential and power supply structure. It is planned to put 26 new UHV interregional DC transmission lines into operation during 2024–2040, further expanding the capacity and scope of clean energy transmission and consumption, supporting China's clean and low-carbon energy upgrading and transformation, and realising the “3060 Double Carbon” goal.
