Modeling and Oscillation Analysis of PMSG-Based Wind Farm with SVG
The integration of renewable energy, particularly wind power, has seen a significant rise in recent years. However, the sub-supersynchronous oscillations induced by the interaction between the static reactive generator (SVG) and the permanent-magnet synchronous generator (PMSG)-based wind turbines pose a threat to the stability of wind farms. The study initially constructs an impedance model for a wind farm utilizing PMSG. This model specifically incorporates the integration of a SVG within the system. sing the impedance method, the destabilization mechanisms of the grid-connected system are explored. Through Bode plots, the frequency-domain characteristics and stability margins are analyzed, and the impact of control parameters of both PMSG and SVG on system stability is quantitatively assessed. The study identifies the oscillation mechanisms and key factors influencing system stability across various frequency bands.
