Applicantion of Solar-Air Source Heat Pump Heating System in Oilfield

Fossil fuel has been frequently combusted to heat the produced liquid from oil wells to decrease its viscosity in oilfield. In order reduce the greenhouse gases and consumption of the non-renewable energy, a solar-air source heat pump heating system is proposed in this article to replace the traditional heating furnace that combusts fossil fuel. The solar irradiance is absorbed to heat the produced liquid in the proposed heating system. The air source heat pump unit is applied as an auxiliary heat source when the solar energy heating unit cannot provide enough energy to heat the produced liquid during it has poor incoming solar irradiance. Based on the application of the proposed heating system with an actual oil production plant, 0.38×106Nm3 natural gas, which was combusted as fuel to heat the produced liquid, can be saved each year. It is anticipated that is has significant application prospects by applying the solar-air source heat pump heating system that proposed in this article in oilfield.
