In the strategic layout of establishing a unified national market, the construction of a unified national electricity market has become a pivotal task. The medium - and long - term electricity market(ML TEM) transactions between provinces and within provinces, being the core elements, play a vital role in the optimal allocation of power resources through their effective coordination. This paper delves deeply into the current situation of China's medium - and long - term inter - provincial and intra-provincial electricity markets, carefully combs through the differences in market transaction rules, and conducts a comparative study on the market construction mechanisms and development situations both at home and abroad. On this basis, highly targeted and actionable policy recommendations are put forward. The aim is to offer theoretical support and practical guidance for promoting the construction of a unified national electricity market, to facilitate the sustainable development of the power industry, and to ensure the stable supply of electricity and the efficient utilization of energy.
