Optimal Energy Storage Configuration Strategy for Integrated Energy System Considering Severe Wind Power Uncertainty
The optimal energy storage (ES) configuration of an integrated energy system (IES) can improve the wind power accommodation and contribute to the global carbon neutrality. This paper proposes an optimal ES configuration model for IES, explicitly accounting for the severe uncertainty of wind power. This model focuses on two key strategies of IES under network constraints: one is ES configuration strategy, including the site selection and capacity investment. The other is integrated demand response (IDR) strategy, including energy consumption and multienergy conversion. Moreover, since obtaining complete information on the probability distribution of wind power output is challenging in practical application, distributionally conditional robust profit (DCRP) is employed to address the severe uncertainty in wind power probability distribution. Finally, simulation results indicate that, compared with the case without ES configuration, configuring ES systems at key nodes within IES can optimize energy consumption and enhance the flexibility of IDR strategy, effectively reducing network congestion cost from $711375.47 to $196390.96, and increasing IES's profit from $1929163.52 to $1988709.09.
