Design and Development of a Flexible Antenna for 5G Wearable Devices
The rapid advancement of 5G technology and the increasing demand for wearable devices necessitate the development of flexible, highperformance antennas. This paper presents the design and analysis of a flexible microstrip patch antenna using jean/cotton substrate and copper as the conducting material. The proposed antenna operates in the sub-6 GHz 5G band, ensuring optimal communication with minimal power consumption. CST Studio Suite is utilized to simulate the antenna, evaluating parameters such as return loss, VSWR, gain, and radiation pattern. The results indicate that the flexible antenna exhibits high efficiency, strong radiation characteristics, and mechanical flexibility, making it suitable for nextgeneration 5G-enabled wearable applications.
