Efficiency Optimization Control of DFIG Stator Short-Circuit Mode Under Low Wind Speed
Double fed induction generator (DFIG) is widely regarded as a key component in wind power systems due to its compact design, cost-effectiveness, and minimal converter capacity requirements. At present, the development of high wind speed areas is gradually becoming saturated, and the demand for wind energy utilization in low wind speed environments has increased significantly. However, due to the limited slip rate range and insufficient maximum power point tracking ability, the power generation efficiency of DFIG under low wind speed conditions is generally low, and the operation stability is poor. Therefore, the research on the full power mode of DFIG under low wind speed is becoming more and more important. In this paper, the machine side control and grid side control of DFIG stator short-circuit mode are derived, and the loss minimization control (LMC) and maximum torque per ampere (MTPA) control of DFIG stator short-circuit mode based on full flux linkage model reference adaptive system under low wind speed are proposed. The proposed method is simulated and verified by MATLAB/Simulink and real data. The results demonstrate that the control strategy achieves superior performance.
