Analytical Model and Optimization of Eccentric Bread Halbach Array Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor
Enhancing torque density and reducing torque ripple in permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) is significant importance for motor behavior. In this paper, a novel three-segment eccentric bread-type pole PMSM is proposed, incorporating the structural characteristics of the bread-type permanent magnet pole. The permanent magnet is magnetized using the Halbach array method. A mathematical model for equivalent arc permanent magnet is introduced. The magnetization intensity of the entire permanent magnet is calculated using a method of segmented accumulation based on equivalent arcs. The derivation of the air-gap flux density formulation for slotless motor is presented. Furthermore, the Carter coefficient method is utilized to deal with the electromagnetic characteristic parameters of permanent magnet motor with parallel teeth. The electromagnetic performance of PMSM is optimized by altering the eccentricity of the permanent magnet and the circumferential angle of the central pole. Finally, the correctness of the analytical model is verified through the finite element method (FEM).
